By KWGS News

Muskogee, OK – A 21-year-old man has turned himself in connection with the shooting death of a 2-year-old boy in Muskogee.

Police said Thursday that Elbert Meeks surrendered late Wednesday night and was booked into the Muskogee County Jail.

Police announced earlier Wednesday evening that Meeks was wanted for the shooting of the toddler, Jacioen Logan.

Police responded to a report that shots had been fired at a house and found the toddler wounded. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Meeks faces a first-degree murder complaint.
