A five-year-old child is expected to recover after being hit by a car this morning while on his way to school. Tulsa Police say the incident happened in the 8900 block of East Latimer about 7 a.m.
Police say they boy darted into traffic at a crosswalk for the Mitchell Elementary School. It appears the youth may have a broken leg. He was taken to the hospital by EMSA.
Police say the driver will not be cited.
