Tulsa, OK – 4 young children taken from filthy home

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Authorities have removed four children ages 10 and younger from a home described in an police report as a "danger to children."

Tulsa County jail records indicate 30-year-old Melodie Brooke Larson was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday after Tulsa police served a search warrant at the east Tulsa home.

According to an arrest report, police found human feces on a tile floor in the home and trash and dirty clothes throughout the house. Police also found broken glass and little food in the kitchen, as well as several needles, some with human blood on them, in a back room.

The report says three of the children removed were ages 3, 2 and 19 months, while another was 10 years old.

Records show Larson was being held Saturday morning on four complaints of child endangerment and one complaint of trafficking methamphetamine.
