Cheerleaders Injured in Crash after Parade

KWGS News File Photo

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma troopers say a high school cheerleader is in critical condition following a rollover crash that injured two other girls and two adults who were leaving a Fourth of July parade.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Paul Timmons says troopers arrived to the single-vehicle accident around 11:15 a.m. Saturday. It's unclear what caused the SUV to overturn as the group was going home from the Edmond Fourth of July parade.

Two of the three Southeast High School cheerleaders were ejected from the vehicle. Timmons says one of the girls is in critical condition and the OU Medical Center and one has been treated and released. He described the conditions of the other girl and the adults as stable.

Their identities haven't been released and their relationship is unclear.
