OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An online charter school in Oklahoma has filed suit because it hasn't yet received its report card from the Oklahoma Department of Education.
Epic One on One sued after state Education Department officials refused to release the school's report card detailing student achievement. Attorney Brad Clark says the school sued because data from the report card is needed to improvement student performance.
A spokeswoman for the education department tells The Oklahoman that the report card was withheld because the state is still "verifying data" for the charter school. All other schools have received their grades.
The A-F letter grade system was signed into law by Gov. Mary Fallin in 2011.
