Charities Get a Boost from a New Challenge Grant Program

KWGS News File Photo

Tulsa Community Foundation is awarding one million dollars in grants to 44 eastern Oklahoma non-profits. The ‘Planned Giving Challenge’ is a program designed to encourage agencies to build long-term financial security. Phil Lakin, Community Foundation CEO, says selected non-profits are encouraged to build future financial security through agreements such as wills or trusts or annuities.

Then for every 100-thousand dollars in planned giving gifts raised by agencies, the Community Foundation will award a 20-thousand dollar grant.
