Oklahoma City, OK – Murder charge filed in police chase death

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma County prosecutors have filed a first-degree murder charge in the death of a man who collapsed after exchanging shots with officers during a chase.

The charges were filed Friday against Mandirous Kamisizian. Authorities say Kamisizian was the driver of a stolen vehicle and exchanged gunfire with officers in pursuit on May 31. A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Clay Baron Howell, collapsed in a parking lot and died following the incident.

Police say officers responded to a call concerning a stolen vehicle. Police identified and pursued the vehicle and shots were exchanged between the suspects and officers.

Both vehicles eventually crashed. Howell collapsed after he'd apparently been shot, and Kamisizian was detained by a security guard.
