Chamber Honors Coburn

Tulsa Regional Chamber

Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn is presented with the Life Time Appreciation Award from the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The presentation was made this morning to the retiring U.S. Senator at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, downtown.

Today's address was expected to be Coburn's last to the chamber as a member of the senate. The senator is stepping down with two years left in his term.

Coburn has been battling cancer, but has said that is not the reason for his resignation. He has voiced frustration with the never ending gridlock in Washington.

Coburn will hold a town-hall meeting tomorrow night at the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. That meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
