Caravan Of Thieves On Mountain Stage

Caravan of Thieves make its first appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live before a sold-out audience in Charleston, W.Va. Based around the duo of Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni, the band has been winning audiences over with its unique fusion of Gypsy jazz, swing and pop music.

"If Django Reinhardt, the cast of Stomp and The Beatles all had a party at Tim Burton's house, Caravan of Thieves would be the band they hired," the group says.

Caravan of Thieves' energetic live performance lives up to this promise. Carrie and Fuzz Sangiovanni are joined by Ben Dean on violin and Brian Anderson on upright bass. Their set includes an unexpectedly faithful cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," which features a note-for-note recreation of Brian May's iconic guitar solo by Dean. Also included is the song "Raise the Dead," which was not heard in the radio broadcast.
