LONGTOWN, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Checotah woman was killed when her car crashed into Lake Eufaula.
Troopers say 60-year-old Ila Brown died in the crash Saturday morning near Longtown.
Troopers say Brown was westbound on Oklahoma Highway 9 about 10:20 a.m. when her car went off the road, struck a guardrail then crossed the rocky bank and went into the lake.
Brown was pulled from her car — which was found about 25 feet from the shoreline and in about 10 feet of water.
