Oklahoma City, OK – Okla. lawmakers gear up for interim studies

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma Legislature is not in session, but lawmakers will be at the Capitol for several interim studies.

Two House committees and a Senate committee all are scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss several issues, including bottle recycling, higher education and daycare liability.

The House Human Services Committee and House Agriculture and Environment Committee both are meeting, along with the Senate Education Committee.

The Human Services panel is scheduled to focus on liability concerns of daycare operators, protecting the elderly, and shared parenting options for divorced couples.

The Senate Education Committee is launching a two-day interim study into the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education in Oklahoma.
