Tulsa, OK – Tulsa state House district draws nine candidates

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) An Oklahoma House district seat in Tulsa has drawn nine candidates, including the former state representative's ex-wife.

Seven Republicans and two Democrats filed by the Wednesday deadline for the House District 71 post, which Dan Sullivan left to become the Grand River Dam Authority's chief executive officer.

Among the candidates is Janet Sullivan, his former wife.

In the Senate District 20 race, Democrat Magnus Scott Senior will face one of four Republicans in a February 14th special primary election. The seat was left vacant by the November death of Senator David Myers.

State Representative Al McAffrey, a Democrat from Oklahoma City, and Republican Jason Reese filed for the Senate District 46 left vacant by the departure of Andrew Rice, who is moving out of state.
