Oklahoma City, OK – Candidates for Congress, Okla. AG file on 2nd day

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Two candidates have filed for congressional seats and another has formally entered the race to become Oklahoma's next attorney general on the second day of the state's three-day election filing period.

Perennial candidate Jim Rogers of Midwest City filed Tuesday as a Democrat to run for a U.S. Senate seat now held by Republican Tom Coburn. The 75-year-old Rogers joins three GOP candidates who filed Monday, including Coburn.

Independent Dave White of Edmond joined a crowded race for the 5th District congressional seat. The 45-year-old White is the seventh candidate seeking to replace Mary Fallin, who is running for governor.

Ryan Leonard, who once worked as a prosecutor in Canadian County, filed as a Republican in the attorney general's race.
