Tulsa, OK – Freeze warning in effect for much of Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Temperatures dipped into the 20s overnight in Oklahoma, though more moderate weather is in the forecast.

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for 59 counties in western, central and eastern Oklahoma through 10 a.m. Friday. The temperature was in the 20s and lower 30s over much of the state Friday morning.

The weather service is predicting daytime highs will rebound into the 50s and 60s Friday afternoon, and by Sunday, temperatures will warm into the 70s in some locations.

Forecasters say thunderstorm chances will increase across the state over the weekend.
