Brooks Trial Update

Claremore, OK – Garth Brooks to testify again in hospital case

CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) Country music singer Garth Brooks is expected to testify again this week in his lawsuit against Oklahoma's largest health care system.

Brooks claims he donated $500,000 in 2005 because he said he had a deal with the president of Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital to name a new women's center after his mother, Colleen, in his hometown of Yukon.

The center was never built and Brooks is suing the company for his money back, claiming the hospital reneged on its plans. The hospital has refused to return the donation and says Brooks didn't attach strings to the gift, which he gave anonymously.

Brooks is expected to take the witness stand again Monday in Claremore.

The case could go to the jury as early as Tuesday.
