Bristow Soldier Killed in Iraq

Bristow, OK – Okla. soldier killed by bomb in Afghanistan

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The U.S. Department of Defense says an Oklahoma soldier who was part of a unit in Vermont has been killed in an attack in Afghanistan.

The department said in a news release Saturday that 25-year-old Pfc. Ryan Grady of Bristow died July 1 in the attack at Bagram Afghanistan. The release says Grady died when insurgents bombed his unit.

Details of the attack were not released.

The military says Grady was assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Bradford, Vt.
