Brace Yourself, Here Comes the Cold

File photo

A stronger cold front will pass through the region on Wednesday bringing much colder temperatures for the remainder of the work week.

An upper storm system will provide some lift on the cold side of the front to bring the potential for light snow across portions of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas near the Kansas and Missouri borders Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Snow accumulations around one half inch will be possible. Some light freezing drizzle may occur as well. Wind chill values on Thursday morning will be the coldest of the season thus far...with values in the zero to 10 above zero range expected.

Temperatures will begin to moderate by the weekend with the return of gusty south winds.
