Blue-Green Algae

By KWGS

Tulsa, OK – More problems with blue green algae. An outbreak of the algae could possibly shut down Grand Lake for the holiday weekend. Grand River Dam Association members say they consider the outbreak a very serious situation. The GRDA board, along with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, has called an emergency meeting for today at 1:30 this afternoon in Tulsa.
The GRDA could shut down the entire lake, just close portions of it, or delay the shut down until after the Fourth of July.
