Blair in Tulsa

By AP

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is set to speak in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

He will deliver remarks Tuesday morning at the Mabee Center in Tulsa before another speech at the Oklahoma City Civic Center.

Blair served as prime minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 1997 to 2007. He also led Britain's Labour Party from 1994 to 2007.

Blair is the Mideast envoy for international mediators who are seeking peace between Israel and Palestine. On Monday, Blair met privately with President Obama at the White House.

Last week, mediators couldn't bring Israeli and Palestinian officials back to the bargaining table.
