Big Weather Change Mid-Week

NWS Graphic

Cooler temperatures and a chance for snow showers are forecast for eastern Oklahoma next week.

The National Weather Service says rain chances will end early Sunday and return to western Arkansas and parts of eastern Oklahoma by Monday.

A strong cold front will pass through the region by Wednesday, bringing much colder temperatures.

After the front moves through, highs in eastern Oklahoma will be in the 30s and in the 40s in northwest Arkansas for the rest of the week.

Forecasters say parts of eastern Oklahoma could get rain and light snow on Wednesday, but significant accumulation isn't expected.
