The Big Apple: Wind & Rhythm Celebrates NYC's Compelling Spirit
They have topped out the skyscraper in New York that started out with the name Freedom Tower but has been formally named One World Trade Center. It is gorgeous and is the tallest building in the western hemisphere. What an incredible accomplishment for a city that shows it’s steely resolve.
That resilience, that spirit is so compelling that we need to celebrate it. This program started out as a foreign vantage point of the city of New York, but even that title is too broad to fit into one episode of Wind & Rhythm. So, with the power and sonority of the Wind Band, we’ll transport the show into the Big Apple to hear some of the music it has inspired.
Listen to Wind & Rhythm Sunday evening at 7:00 pm on Classical 88.7-1.
