Tulsa, OK – Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett presents his budget to the Tulsa City Council. The spending proposal has the city spending $230-million from the general fund. That is about one million dollars less than last year.

The plan does not for calling back laid-off police officers. However, those officers could be added back once older officers retire.

The plan also includes some fee increases and some will be controversial, including one that would charge a fee when fire fighters respond to a traffic accident. The fee would be charged to insurance companies, but those costs could be passed along to you in higher premiums.

The City Council will now review the budget. It must be in place by the state of the fiscal year on July 1st.
