Bail Offered to Tulsa Officer Charged With Murder

Tulsa County Booking Photo

A Tulsa District Court Judge has agreed to  bail for Tulsa Police Officer Shannon Kepler. Kepler is accused of killing Jeremy Lake earlier this month. Lake was the boyfriend of Kepler's estranged daughter. The girl says her father also fired at her, but missed.

At a hearing this afternoon, Judge Cliff Smith listened to Kepler's attorney,  who argued that his client has a spotless work record, no previous criminal charges and is not a flight risk.  He then set bond at $750,000 for the first degree murder complaint and $75,000 for a charge of shooting with the intent to kill.

As of this writing, Kepler has not made bail.
