OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline rose slightly during the past week in Oklahoma, but remains well below $2 per gallon and is the second lowest average price nationwide.

AAA Oklahoma said Monday that the average price statewide is $1.89 per gallon, up by almost a nickel per gallon from last week.

Prices in selected cities range from $1.78 per gallon in Lawton to $1.97 in Guymon. Motorists in Tulsa are paying an average $1.83 per gallon while the cost is $1.89 in Oklahoma City.

AAA Oklahoma spokesman Chuck Mai said doubts about OPEC's ability to agree on oil production cuts are keeping prices down.

The cheapest average price in the nation is $1.88 in Missouri while the most expensive is Hawaii at $2.85 per gallon.
