TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa police have arrested the aunt of two young girls who died in an apartment fire.

Cpl. Greg Smith with the department's Child Crisis Unit says 23-year-old Miashah Moses was arrested Tuesday on two complaints of child neglect.

Smith says Moses left the children unattended in an apartment on Monday while food cooked on the stove. Smith says Moses told police she was gone from the apartment for about eight to 10 minutes.

Jail records do not list an attorney for her.

Police say the girls were 4 and 18 months old. Officials had initially put the ages at 2 and 6.

Capt. Stan May said that the blaze on the city's south side was probably due to a cooking fire, and that the scene is still being investigated.
