Attorney Challenges State Law in B.A Murder Case

The younger of two Broken Arrow brothers charged in the stabbing deaths of their parents and three siblings is challenging a law that denies him youthful offender status in the case.

Public Defender Rob Nigh filed the motion on behalf of 16-year-old client Michael Bever, arguing that denying him the right to apply for status as a youthful offender violates the teen's rights.

Michael Bever and his 18-year-old brother, Robert Bever, are accused of stabbing their family to death at their Indian Springs area home this summer.
