Askins Makes the Cut

Jari Askins

By KWGS News

Oklahoma City, OK – Failed democratic gubernatorial candidate Jari Askins is a step closer to becoming a member of the State Supreme Court. She was one of the three people recommended to the post by a judicial revenue panel.

The other candidates are Oklahoma County District Judge Noma Gurich and Appeals court judge John Fischer.

The seat became open when Marian Opala died last fall. Governor Henry is expected to make a choice before he leaves office a week from Monday.
