Tulsa, OK – A fast moving fire whipped through an apartment complex in southeast Tulsa this afternoon. The lunchtime blaze left 24-apartments at the Windsail Apartment complex destroyed, impacting over 100 people.

The complex is located near 71st and South Mingo, behind the Lowes and Home Depot Improvement stores.

Tulsa Fire Captain Stan May says one fire fighter was injured but all the apartment occupants got out of the building safely. The gusty winds fanned the flames and forced fire fighters to turn in a second alarm on the blaze.

The Tulsa Red Cross was on the scene to aid the fire fighters and provide assistance to the displaced Tulsans.
