Another Raft Race Completed

Great Raft Race-Facebook

Thousands turned out on Labor Day to float or just watch watercraft on the Arkansas River.

Over 200 entries took part in the Great Raft Race from the River City Park in Sand Springs to the River West Festival Park in West Tulsa.

Among those floating the river was Mayor Bynum. This was the third year for the  restarted event. The raft race actually started in the 1970s, but was discontinued in the early 90s, because of the expense and libability.
