Chander, OK – Small earthquake recorded in central Oklahoma
CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a small earthquake in central Oklahoma.
Lincoln County authorities say there were no injuries or damage as a result of the 2.8 magnitude earthquake that was recorded by the U.S.G.S. at 2:28 p.m. Saturday.
The quake was centered about 5 miles north of Chandler in Lincoln County. The epicenter is about 40 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans.
