American to Cut Flights

By Associated Press

Oklahoma City, OK – AA to end flights to St. Louis from OKC, Tulsa

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) American Airlines is eliminating its flights between Oklahoma City and St. Louis by next summer.

The airline had said earlier it would end its regional American Eagle service between Tulsa and St. Louis by the end of the year.

The head of American's parent company AMR said in a letter to employees that the company is refocusing and eliminating unprofitable flights.

Will Rogers World Airport spokesman Mark Kranenburg says he's not been officially notified of the cuts but says he's not surprised.
