All This Jazz: The Halloween Show

Please tune in for the next edition of All This Jazz, which begins at 10 o'clock on Saturday night, the 27th, on KWGS-FM 89.5-1. The second-hour theme of our program will be (gasp! scream!) Halloween!

We're sure to hear a modern-jazz take on the old pop standard, "I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance with You," as well as a pair of very fine (and very monster-driven) cuts from the 1960s heyday of the Blue Note label --- namely, "Witch Hunt" by Wayne Shorter and "Frankenstein" by Jackie McLean. (Not to mention "The Skeleton in the Closet" by Louis Armstrong with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra...from 1936!)

And much more.... Join us.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
