Ag Transportation Aid

Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will be shared in western Oklahoma to help improve transportation and the economy.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the $750,000 grant Monday to the Community Transportation Association of America.

CTAA will use $250,000 to help tribal organizations improve transportation in Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Washita, Blaine, Canadian and Kingfisher counties. The money will also be shared with projects in New Mexico and Mississippi.

The remaining $500,000 will be used on similar projects in Alaska, Illinois, Maine and New Jersey.
