TULSA, Okla. (AP) — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is expected in Tulsa to deliver remarks at a formal ceremony honoring New Northern District of Oklahoma U.S. Attorney Danny C. Williams.

Holder is to attend the investiture ceremony that is to start at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tulsa Convention Center.

Williams was nominated by President Obama in March to serve as the top federal law enforcement official in the state's northern district.  He's a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans and earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa School of Law.

Williams previously served as an assistant district attorney for Tulsa County and later worked at several law firms before his confirmation in August to the new post.
