60 Arrested in Sting

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The FBI says 60 people were arrested in Oklahoma City and Tulsa as part of a three-day law enforcement sweep targeting child prostitution and human trafficking. The arrests were part of a national raid in 76 cities called Operation Cross Country VII. Supervisory Agent Gary Johnson with the FBI in Oklahoma City says three children were recovered during the raid. Two of the juveniles were 17, while one was 16. Johnson says one of the girls was recovered during a similar raid last year in the Pacific Northwest. Johnson says child prostitution is not a growing problem in Oklahoma City, but is a consistent one. The FBI worked with the Oklahoma City Police Department's vice enforcement unit and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics on the raid.
