5th Grader Accused of School Threat

KWGS News

COLCORD, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in northeast Oklahoma say a fifth-grade student was taken into custody after allegedly threatening to shoot a teacher.

Colcord schools were on lockdown for nearly an hour Thursday because of the threat. Colcord Police Chief Lenden Woodruff says no weapons or guns were found in a search of the school.

Authorities took the boy into custody later Thursday. His name has not been released.

Colcord is about 75 miles east of Tulsa in Delaware County. The town's elementary school has about 350 students.
