File photo

CUSHING, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.9-magnitude earthquake has shaken the Cushing area.

The quake was reported at 3:08 a.m. Saturday and was located about 14 miles southeast of Stillwater. The U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake occurred at a depth of about three miles.

There were no immediate reports of damage. Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are the smallest that are felt by humans. Earthquakes below magnitude 4.0 generally do not cause damage.
