ENID, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.1 magnitude earthquake has been recorded near Enid.
The USGS says the quake was recorded at 10:04 p.m. Friday four miles northeast of Enid, about 70 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. No injuries or damage were reported.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are general the smallest that are felt by humans and that damage doesn't usually occur with earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.
