3.0-Magnitude Earthquake hits Southern Oklahoma

WILSON, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 struck Friday morning in southern Oklahoma.

The quake was recorded at 10 a.m. with an epicenter about 9 miles south-southwest of Wilson, near the state's border with Texas. The USGS says the epicenter was about 21 miles west-southwest of Ardmore and about 35 miles northwest of Gainesville, Texas.

No injuries or damage were reported.

Also Friday, the USGS recorded a 2.8-magnitude earthquake near Cherokee and a 2.5-magnitude quake near Medford, both in northern Oklahoma.
