WHITESBORO, Okla. (AP) — The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office says three people have been found dead after authorities responded to a house fire outside the small town of Whitesboro in southeastern Oklahoma.

The names of those who died in Monday's fire have not been released and their bodies have been sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office for identification.

The sheriff's office says investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

A message seeking further details from the sheriff's office was not immediately returned Tuesday, and an email seeking information from the medical examiner's office on the victims wasn't immediately answered.
