The '24 Hour House' is Under Construction

KWGS News

Construction crews are working around the clock to complete Tulsa's newest Habitat for Humanity house in 24 hours.

That is 2-hours, start to finish.

The home is being built as part of the revitalization of the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood. Unlike most Habitat houses, this one does not already have an owner. It is also being built by professional contractors.

Habitat for Humanity's Tulsa director is Cameron Walker. He says the house will be worth about $120,00 when completed on Friday. He says it would be ideal for a school teacher, working across the street at the Kendall-Whittier Elementary School.
