2015 Child Abuse Prevention Awards Announced on Tuesday

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahomans who have made achievements in preventing child abuse in the state are being recognized this week at the state Capitol.

Tuesday's ceremony is part of planned events marking Child Abuse Prevention Day and honors outstanding child abuse prevention efforts in Oklahoma from individuals and organizations.

This year's child abuse prevention categories include the Marion Jacewitz Award, Mary Ellen Wilson Award, Outstanding Elected Official Award and the Outstanding Child Abuse Prevention Program.

The ceremony will be moderated by Oklahoma State Department of Human Services Director Ed Lake.
