ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two juveniles were injured in separate boating accidents on Lake Murray.

Both accidents involved tubes that were being towed by boats. According to the highway patrol, a 9-year-old boy was tubing Sunday afternoon when he was struck by an oncoming pontoon.

The boy was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he is in stable condition with leg injuries.

The second incident happened at about 6 p.m. Sunday. The highway patrol says a 17-year-old girl was hurt when her tube went airborne and she struck the water. Authorities say the girl was taken to a hospital in Plano, Texas, where she is in stable condition with neck and back injuries.
