14-Year-old Accused of Shooting at OKC Police

File photo

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City police have arrested a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly fired a gun at officers.

Police say no one was struck by the gunfire early Wednesday at an apartment complex. The boy's mother called police at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after getting into an altercation with her son.

Authorities say the woman told police that her son had an upcoming juvenile court date and he didn't want to go.

Police say the boy opened fire when an officer arrived. A second officer arrived and returned fire, but no one was struck.

Authorities say the teen was found hiding in a nearby field and taken into custody.
