Storms Hit Oklahoma Again

Oklahoma City, OK – Several tornadoes touch down across Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Authorities say two mobiles homes were destroyed and several homes and businesses were damaged but there were few injuries during a rash of tornadoes in Oklahoma.

In Kingfisher County, Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis says a semi-truck driver wasn't seriously hurt when his vehicle overturned about five miles north of Kingfisher on Wednesday afternoon. At least two tornadoes were reported in the county.

Tulsa, OK – A grand jury will be convened next month to look into the Skiatook schools. Residents circulated petitions after a state auditor's report accused the school district of wasting nearly 750-thousand dollars on overpriced supplies.

Settlement in BOS

Tulsa, OK – A federal judge signs off on a settlement to Tulsa's Black Officers Lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed 16-years ago. Mayor-Pro-Tem Terry Simonson signed the agreement for Mayor Bartlett who is in Washington D-C. The settlement agreement is sealed.

Third Fatal Tulsa Shooting in as Many Days

Tulsa, OK – Man killed in Tulsa store by former reserve deputy

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A former Okmulgee County reserve deputy has shot and killed a man inside a Tulsa convenience store.

Police say the former deputy was talking to the store owner about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man the deputy had once arrested entered and the two argued. Capt. Karen Tipler says the man then showed a gun his waistband and the former deputy drew a gun and fired several times.

I-244 Reopened

Tulsa, OK – All lanes of westbound I-244 on the north leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop are now open to traffic. This section of I-244 has been closed since July 2009, as part of a $75 million stimulus-funded project to reconstruct the north and west legs of the IDL.

On this westbound section of the north leg, new decks were put in place on 13 bridges, and the entire roadway replaced from the ground up.
