Oklahoma City, OK – Okla judge extends restraining order against law
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A federal judge has extended a temporary restraining order blocking a constitutional amendment to prohibit state courts from considering international or Islamic law when deciding cases.
U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange took the action Monday following a hearing on a preliminary injunction against the amendment. Miles-LaGrange extended the temporary restraining order until Nov. 29 to give her time to hand down a ruling.
Jay, Oklahoma – A woman has been charged with furnishing alcohol to three minors who were involved in a head-on collision that killed three. The Tulsa World reports that an affidavit in the case says 23-year-old Stephanie Nichole Thornhill confessed to buying beer and vodka for one of three juveniles involved in the April 30 accident.

Tulsa, Oklahoma – Race officials say an Oklahoma man has died after collapsing Sunday while competing in a half marathon in Tulsa. The Williams Route 66 Marathon directors say the 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center.

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) A Tulsa County jury is recommending life in prison for a man convicted of felony murder for a deadly methamphetamine-manufacturing fire at an apartment complex. The Tulsa World reports that the murder charge against Christopher Stinson stems from the 2009 blaze at the apartment of Sean Ketcher, who suffered severe burns and died the next day.
