Tulsa County goes solar

Tulsa, OK – (SOLAR POWERED COUNTY)

Tulsa County gets more eco-friendly. The newest county owned community center in Chandler Park is installing solar panels to provide half the facility's power. Commissioner Karen Keith says it will help the environment and save taxpayers' money

The 265-thousand dollars for the solar panel project comes from a federal Energy Department grant.

Meat Recall

Moore, OK – Okla. company recalls chicken, ham products

MOORE, Okla. (AP) An Oklahoma-based food company is recalling nearly 23,000 pounds of chicken and ham products due to mislabeling.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Allison's Gourmet Kitchens, Inc. is recalling the food because the packaging does not list the ingredients potassium sorbate and/or sodium benzoate. The company is based in Moore, Okla.

More recorded evidence is presented in the Tulsa Police Corruption Probe.

Yesterday, calls between retired Police officer Harold Wells and an undercover FBI agent were played for the jury. In the audio, Wells discusses allowing the agent to sell drugs in Tulsa.

Wells and two other officers are charged with being rouge cops.

One Dead/One Hospitalized in Tulsa Shooting

Tulsa, OK – Man shoots woman, kills self at Tulsa hair salon

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Police in Tulsa say a gunman entered a hair salon and shot his former girlfriend and then took his own life.

Investigators say the 27-year-old man went into a SportClips salon at the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center on Thursday and told employees to get out. He then shot a 29-year-old woman twice.

No Bomb at OKC Airport

Oklahoma City, OK – Noisy box at Okla. airport deemed harmless

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A suspicious and noisy package that caused evacuations at Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City has been deemed harmless.

Airport spokeswoman Karen Carney says officials gave the "all-clear" signal just before 2 p.m. Friday.

Flights are resuming and passengers are being allowed to leave the terminal.

E-Coli in Tulsa

Tulsa, OK – Four children in Tulsa are ill with e-coli. Three of the four are enrolled at the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church Day Care. The Health Department has visited the school and found no source for the e-coli.

The fourth child is a sibling of one of the other three. Officials think it may have started with that child, but they are unsure how.
